Medicare supplemental policy

A Medicare supplemental policy, also known as Medigap, is a policy that is sold by private companies and can help pay some of the healthcare costs that Medicare does not cover such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Some Medigap policies also offer coverage for services that Medicare does not cover such as healthcare when traveling outside of the United States. A Medigap policy supplements traditional Medicare benefits.
